Founded in 2022 by British Expats, Maru Green was established to fill a need in producing and providing 100% biodegradable dinnerware products made from plant based materials which are a renewable source of materials.

Our Raw Materials

Through the above image slider our customers can see the the raw materials from which our products are made from. These are then washed thoroughly, left to dry in direct sunlight, moulded and then heat pressed into various shapes and sizes. The process in turn takes discarded agricultural wastage converting it into strong, durable, reusable and attractive dinnerware, which can be composted back into mother nature. We are determined and on a mission to invest into a better, eco-friendly future. As a company we believe in finding ways to protect the environment and we work with various green initiatives in India to achieve this.

A vision of a better future
through the removal of single use plastics

Our main product offering consists of dinnerware made from sugarcane bagasse made from the extraction of sugarcane juice. And fallen areca palm leaves. Both of these are carefully sourced from various parts of India and heat pressed into various shapes and sizes. We have the capacity to produce 6 Tons / per day in terms of output with another 12 Tons / Per Day expandable capacity.

India is the largest producer of fallen areca leaves & the 2nd largest producer of sugarcane bagasse. We are proud to say all of our products are 100% made in India.

All of our products are microwave, freezer and oven safe. We do not recommend re-use of our products after one use.

We recommend not to store our products near heat, for example not in direct sunlight or near ovens or hot appliances. We are best stored at temperatures under 40°C.

Through our biodegradable offering, the composting of our products converts waste into useful resources, helping stakeholders to reduce their environmental impact. Compost can be used in agriculture and landscaping amongst many other things.
